David Warren Rhines was born June 26, 1946, in Youngstown, Ohio, and passed August 31, 2023, in Lake Tapps, Washington, at the age of 77 years. He struggled since 2019 with leukemia, vascular dementia, and Alzheimer’s, and passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side.
David was extremely patriotic, loved football, hunting, and fishing. He was very much an outdoors man. He was a welder by trade who worked closely with the automotive industry. In his younger years, he flagged for racecar driving. He was very easy going; I cannot think of many people who did not love David. He had friends that go back to childhood with whom he continued to keep in contact.
David joined Lake Tapps Community Church in 2006 and was baptized in 2010. He was not able to return before passing, starting 2019, due to chemo, the Covid outbreak, and his other illnesses.
David is survived by his wife of almost 38 years, Marcia; two adult children, Garrett Rhines and Francie Nielsen, a brother John (Jack) Rhines, and nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.
