Harriet Fae Zmuda passed away on March 18, 2024, in Tacoma, Washington, at the age of 86. Harriet was born on January 1, 1938, in Granite Falls, MN. She was a devoted single mother to her six children, an amazing grandmother, and great-grandmother. Harriet was known as the family's Matriarch, holding everyone together with love and care. She was a very independent woman who loved caring for her house, yard, and baking traditional Swedish and Norwegian dishes. Her garden brought her immense joy as she spent hours tending to her flowers and plants.
In her career, Harriet worked in retail for many years as a lead and supervisor. She was a dedicated employee and took pride in her work. Harriet also found solace and community at Good Shepard Lutheran Church, where she worshipped.
Harriet's hobbies included gardening, baking, and spending time with loved ones. She enjoyed watching golf, tennis, home improvement shows, cooking programs, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy. Her door was always open to friends and family, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Harriet is survived by her children Teresa Magner, Linda Zmuda, Leslie Zmuda, Greg Zmuda, Allison Dildine, and Micheal Zmuda. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her much joy and happiness.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Good Shepard Lutheran Church in memory of Harriet Fae Zmuda. She will be remembered for her strength, love, and unwavering dedication to her family.
