Obituary For Ronald Laurence St. Pierre

Ronald Laurence St. Pierre, 81, of Lake Tapps, WA passed away
peacefully in his home surrounded by friends and family on February 6,
2024.

He was born in Wolcott, IN on May 15, 1942, son of late Richard and Helen
St. Pierre. He is survived by his spouse, JoAnn Ver Hoeven St. Pierre, his
daughter Samantha Josephine Shelby, granddaughters Jayden Jolyn
Shelby, Mia Zoey Riles and grandson Ashton Laurence Earl Riles. He is
also survived by his five siblings and their spouses.

Ron graduated from Purdue University in Electrical Engineering in 1966.
After briefly being employed by CTS in Indiana he moved to Renton, WA
where he was employed by Boeing Aerospace. There he was instrumental
in creating a new division, Boeing Electronics Company (BECO), where he
worked until his retirement in 2001. While there he received numerous
awards and developed many micro-electronic chips for numerous airplanes
and spacecrafts.

He continually challenged himself physically and mentally. His physical
interests included walking, boating, sailing, bicycling, scuba diving and
hiking. His latest mental challenge was astrophotography. RC (radio
controlled) flying was of particular interest, and he was an officer in two
flying clubs where he enjoyed teaching others and developing uniquely
designed aircraft. He also loved listening to his audio books and teaching
his granddaughter how to build breadboards (microcircuits).

In lieu of flowers, please donate to cancer research.
