With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Anthony “Tony” Respicio. Born on October 6, 1946, in Ewa, Hawaii, Tony spent his final days surrounded by the love and laughter of his family. He passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024, in Puyallup, Washington, with his beloved daughters by his side.
Tony was a man of deep passions and simple joys. He was never happier than when he had a fishing rod in hand or was tinkering under the hood of his cherished ’39 Chevy Coupe. A true car enthusiast, Tony loved the camaraderie of car shows and proudly showcased his vintage beauty both in Hawaii and Washington.
He will be fondly remembered by his family: daughters Noreen, Corilyn, and Andrea, along with their husbands Vernon, Ryan, and Nalu, his five grandchildren, Kirstin, Lea, Po’okela, Rylyn and Amber-Grace, and his great grandson Riddick. He also left behind wife, Amparo "Mary" Javier, of 3 years.
In following Tony’s wishes, there will be no formal service. He will be cremated, and his ashes will be spread in the ocean in a private gathering next summer.
Family and friends who wish to honor his memory are invited to join us in spirit for a moment of silence.
An update with the date and time of the private gathering will be provided for those who would like to pay tribute in their own way.
May he rest in peace and love.
