Curtis M. Benefiel
November 9th, 1970 - August 7th, 2024
Curtis passed peacefully the morning of August 7th, 2024 after a year long illness. He was born in Walnut Creek, CA and raised in the Bay Area, eventually moving to Washington state. Curtis proudly served in the US Army for over 10 years. He spoke often of his time in the military, sharing stories of his experiences and the lifelong friends he made. There was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with his kids playing video games, watching movies, teaching them to ride bikes and mow the lawn, throw a football and play hopscotch. Curtis supported his kids in all their extracurricular activities, from football games to wrestling matches and choir concerts. You’ll never know a more dedicated Raiders fan than Curtis. Cannon Beach became a favorite vacation spot for him.
Curtis loved his family and friends with his whole heart, his grandkids brought him special joy. He is preceded in death by his sweet mom Pam, grandparents Pappy and Gigi, uncle Larry, step-sister Kimberly along with other family and friends. His life and memory will live on in his children, son Peyton (Victoria), daughter Olivia, son Seth (Samantha), grandchildren Jocelyn, Adaline, Bellatrix, Yennefer and Ganon, dad Jack, sister Trisha, sister Tami and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Curtis maintained a close friendship with his ex-wife Rhonda, who was a great support to him. Special thank you to his caregivers at the adult family home who provided Curtis with loving hospice care.
