In Loving Memory of Lucinda Murfitt
January 7, 1950 – November 4, 2025It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Lucinda Murfitt, who left this world peacefully on November 4, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on January 7, 1950, to Lupe and Felice Lopez, Lucinda grew up with a deep sense of compassion, kindness, and joy for life that she shared with everyone she met. She is survived by her devoted husband, John Murfitt; her children, Andy and Angel; her stepchildren, George and Connie; and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved deeply. She also leaves behind countless friends and extended family, including those in Arizona, with whom she remained lovingly connected throughout her life. Lucinda spent decades serving her community as a school lunch lady, where her warm smile and caring heart brightened the days of generations of students. She was also a cherished member of her bunco groups, always bringing laughter and light to every gathering. A creative soul, Lucinda found joy in simple acts of kindness like painting rocks to spread happiness, sharing thoughtful gifts, and offering words of encouragement. Her compassion and positivity touched everyone who knew her. She will be remembered for her warm hugs, gentle laugh, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Though she is no longer with us, Lucinda’s spirit lives on in the love she shared and the joy she brought to the world.
