  I first met Lin while working at Auburn High School, I was a new teacher at AHS, Lin was a custodian. He helped me move furniture and set up my classroom. More importantly, he gave me invaluable advice about the school, staff, and the "pitfalls" of working there. At first, Lin came across as a gruff, tough, wise guy who was only doing his job. As I got to know him I quickly realized he was a great big teddy bear with a heart of gold. Lin would do anything to help anyone. He had a great sense of humor, and was loved and respected by everyone at AHS. Once, at my request, Lin snuck me and a class of students underneath the high school into the fabled tunnel system. My students were thrilled, Lin and I not so much as we knew big trouble was coming our way if we were caught. Fortunately, all went well and we escaped unscathed. Lin was much more than a custodian. He was a man of many talents, a devoted family man, a man I highly respected and loved. I am honored to have known Lin as my friend.
