Tracy Max Butcher
07/20/1958-07/21/2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Tracy Max Butcher, age 67, on July 21, 2025 in Buckley, Washington.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Pam Butcher, sister LaMonica Hummel, former wife Susan Chamberlain, four children-Nicholas Max, Matthew Adam, Angela Marie Butler (Butcher), Teryse Ana-Marie Young (Damon), and eight grandchildren-Kayla,
Tatum, Sebastian, Kylie, Charli, Derek, Zachary, and Max.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Lois Lakey and Max Butcher.

Tracy was born on July 20, 1958 in Preston, Idaho to Lois Lakey and Max Butcher.

Throughout Tracy’s earlier years of life, he spent many days and carried fond memories of his grandparents, sister, and several family members on the local family farm in Soda Springs, Idaho. At an early age, Tracy and his family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he graduated from Western High School in 1976. He had met Susan Blankenship, and they were married in December 1976. They had three children together, Nick, Matt, and Angie. In November 1984, Tracy and Susan moved their family to Pahrump, Nevada. In 1983, Tracy completed his apprenticeship and became an extremely skilled Painter with the Local Painter’s Union 159 and worked over a span of many years at the Nevada Test Site and several local construction projects in the Las Vegas area.

In 1992, Tracy and Susan divorced. In 1993, Tracy met Pam Pender, and they married on February 14, 1997. With this marriage, he gained a stepdaughter, Tery, that he helped raise and loved as his own daughter.

In 2004, Tracy and Pam moved to Buckley, Washington. In 2012, Tracy upheld a Painter position with King County Parks and Recreation and was a member with the Local 300 Painter’s Union and retired as a highly respected Supervisor/Lead Painter in August 2024.

Tracy had a passion for fishing and passed on his love and skills of the sport to all his children through several memorable vacations to Pine Valley, Utah and Panguitch, Utah.

At an early age, Tracy became a devoted fan of the Raiders and shared many memories with us watching the games on television and live events and talking about the upcoming seasons and NFL drafts.

His memory will forever be remembered through listening to Classic Rock spanning from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Fleetwood Mac, The Rolling Stones, Journey, Foreigner, and several others. He would recount his love for the songs and the concerts he attended.

Tracy will be missed tremendously and will forever be in our memory and hearts.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Cremation Plus in Washington State.
