General Questions

Why Cremation Plus?
Cremation Plus is a simple cremation service that allows you to work directly with the crematory. We do not broker out the cremation, which allows you to cut out the funeral home middleman. Our process is affordable, dependable and simple.
Where are you located?
Our facility is centrally located in the Puget Sound in Puyallup. We have two crematoria on site and an arrangement office for you to meet with our caring team of funeral directors. Our website is robust and allows you to make arrangements online if you prefer.
Why are your prices so much less than others?
Because we do not broker out the cremation and perform it ourselves, we are able to pass the cost savings on to our client families.
What areas of Washington State do you service?
We currently serve 4 counties in Western Washington State: King, Pierce, Kitsap and Thurston.

At-Need Questions

When the death occurs, what do I do?
The best thing to do is to call our toll-free number 800-875-9065 and speak with one of the funeral directors. They will ask a few questions about your circumstances and provide you with the best path forward.
How much will the cremation cost?
Our website will ask you several qualifying questions about your loved one like location, if they had a pacemaker, urn selection and others. After this short process it will generate a quote specific to you at no obligation.
When does Cremation Plus want to be paid?
To keep our costs as low as they are, we’ll need to be paid as soon as possible. While our website can take your payment 24 hours a day, some families want to meet face to face with a funeral director. Since we accomplish in days what takes others weeks, the sooner you close out your account the sooner we can schedule and complete the cremation.
How long does your process take?
Once you have closed out your account and provided us with the necessary documentation and authorizations, all we need is the physician to sign off on the death certificate. This step is truly our “go button”. After the physician has signed the death certificate, the cremation usually takes place within a day or two. We cremate seven days a week so we can perform quickly.
Will I need a death certificate?
Certified copies of the death certificate are issued by the county health department where the death occurs. Our office can assist you with obtaining as many or as few certified copies as you need to help settle the matters of your loved one’s estate.
How do you return the ashes?
You can schedule a time to pick up the urn at our office. You also have the option of having the ashes shipped to you or hand-delivered for a small additional fee.
How do I know I have the right ashes?
We believe if there is human involvement, there is room for human error. That’s why Cremation Plus has made a significant investment in barcoding and other security controls and procedures to check against human error. Whenever any step during their care is performed, it is scanned into to their digital file. This allows us to know where they are at each and every step of our process and ensure the correct ashes are in the urn you receive.

Pre-Need Questions

How can you assure me the pre-need funds are secure?
When you pre-plan your cremation with Cremation Plus, your funds are always held with a third party to ensure their safekeeping. We utilize either life insurance or trust fund financial vehicles that are specific to our industry to fund your future cremation wishes. These financial vehicles are audited annually by the State of Washington Funeral and Cemetery office to ensure their safekeeping.
If I move away, what happens?
These vehicles are completely portable and can be transferred to another provider if you move out of our service area.
Can I cancel my pre-need cremation?
The short answer is yes. If you cancel your plan within the first 30 days you are entitled to a full refund. If you cancel after 30 days, we will direct you to work with the life insurance company or the financial institution where the trust fund is kept since they have their own process to return your money.
Upon my death how does my pre-need cremation plan get activated?
All your survivors need to do is call our toll-free number at 800-875-9065 any time day or night. Our funeral directors will pull your records and begin carrying out your wishes.
Will there be any additional funds due by my survivors?
Your cremation, both services and merchandise, is fully guaranteed from day one. Cremation Plus will not charge your survivors any additional fees no matter how much the cost of cremation increases from the time you purchased it. The only additional fees your survivors could pay is for any third party expense, such as from a medical examiner’s office or from the health department for death certificates. If those costs rise, they are the only thing that is not guaranteed since we have no control over them.
